Our professional educational consultants provide each high school student with complete college admissions counseling. We will help you to evaluate your abilities, interests, organize your applications, identify talents, and personality characteristics in order to develop realistic academic and college acceptance goals. Our counselors use personal interviews, counseling sessions, interest and aptitude assessment tests to evaluate and advise students and utilize this data to create a multi-year strategic plan which includes calendars for testing, recommendations for coursework, activities, summer experiences, community service and internships. Regarding the college application process, the counselor will identify any "Red Flags" (problems, omissions, inconsistencies, unanswered questions, etc.) and will advise if the application is ready for submission to a particular college. We also help students develop critical leadership skills, as well as providing academic resume writing and persuasive college interviewing techniques.

All students will learn introduction strategies, points to emphasize during a college interview, critical documents to bring along, detrimental statements that may diminish a student's chances in the admissions process, and methods to follow-up a college interview.
 
Freshman and Sophmores
Our meetings with freshmen and sophomores focus on helping students plan their high school coursework and extracurricular activities. Our academic advising assists students in ensuring that they take full advantage of course offerings at their high school, and in some instances, in considering academic opportunities outside of their school. We also help students to think about means through which they can apply both their extracurricular and academic interests in novel ways, so as to deepen or broaden their experience in these pursuits. A student-centered summertime academic planning module is also included.
Juniors
In our junior consultation, we provide a thorough description of the college admissions process and include discussion of a student’s transcript, extracurricular activities, and standardized testing plan. We start with an assessment of the student’s transcript to date, discuss colleges that the student may preliminarily be considering, and then formulate a plan to either help that student maintain hisor her current high level of performance or improve his or her high school record as he/she prepares to apply to colleges the following year.
Seniors
The senior consultation is helpful for the student who wants a detailed and customized overview of the critical parts of the college admissions process as well as an assessment of his or her academic and extracurricular profile in order to refine the list of colleges that he or she is considering. In this meeting, we will develop a customized plan for remaining standardized testing, regular admission vs. early admission considerations, vital points to be emphasized and included on the college admissions essay, college interview strategy, helping the student to craft his or her academic resume and working with the student to formulate an overall plan and strategy for approaching the college applications process.
